Year 11 IGCSE support from Al Hamra Village to Khuzam
Students in Al Hamra Village, Mina Al Arab and Al Nakheel, as well as Khuzam, Al Dhait and Al Qusaidat, can follow a full Year 11 plan online. Nobody needs to drive across the emirate for a lesson.
The Department of Knowledge oversees British curriculum schools in Ras Al Khaimah, which run Pearson Edexcel or Cambridge courses at IGCSE level. Lessons run on weekday evenings or at weekends, in UAE time.
How should RAK students plan IGCSE Year 11?
According to the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge, three new private schools adding about 3,000 places were approved for 2026/27. As the sector grows, every Year 11 student still needs a clear plan for their final year.
Treat mocks as a rehearsal
Mock exams show which topics break down under time pressure. A tutor reviews each mock paper with your child, then turns the lost marks into a short list of topics to fix.
Why a term-by-term revision plan?
Year 11 is crowded. Splitting revision into autumn, winter and spring blocks stops last-minute cramming. Your tutor adjusts the plan each month as progress reports come in.
Which past papers should come first?
Start with topic questions, then move to full timed papers. For Cambridge Maths 0580 or Edexcel Maths A 4MA1, tutors check every answer against the official mark scheme.
How a RAK student joins IGCSE lessons in five moves
The setup is short, so the Year 11 plan can start quickly. Here is each move, from enquiry to the first monthly report.
Plan Year 11 with a tutorTell us the mock and exam dates
Use our form or a WhatsApp chat to share the subject, exam board and year group. Mention upcoming mock dates so the plan fits around them.
A board specialist is lined up
A day later at most, a tutor who knows that exact paper is lined up, for instance Cambridge Physics 0625 or Edexcel Chemistry 4CH1. Times are set in UAE time.
A trial lesson to map the gaps
The trial costs AED 20 to 60. The tutor spots weak topics and sketches a revision plan. Not convinced by the fit? A replacement tutor costs nothing.
Lessons follow the revision plan
Each week covers the next block of topics, timed past paper questions and homework. Notes and flashcards follow every lesson, and recordings stay available.
Reports keep the plan on track
Every week the tutor sends notes, and every month a fuller report shows what improved. Missed classes or homework trigger an alert. Pay for single lessons or a package, never locked in.
What Year 11 IGCSE looks like for RAK students
IGCSE normally takes two years, across Years 10 and 11, for 14 to 16 year olds. Ras Al Khaimah's British curriculum schools run the Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel version, and our tutors also teach Oxford AQA.
Year 11 builds to the May/June series, with papers spread over late April, May and the start of June. Cambridge runs a second series in October and November too. Results for June papers usually come out between mid and late August.
Cambridge marks most subjects from A* down to G, and Edexcel and Oxford AQA use 9 down to 1. Good results open routes into A-Level, the IB and other post-16 courses.
Every IGCSE subject your child will revise in Year 11
Each subject page shows its specialist tutors. Pick the papers your child sits this year and build revision around them.
Which IGCSE revision route works best in Year 11?
Revision in Year 11 usually happens through school sessions, past papers alone or a tutor. This table compares how each route handles feedback, planning around mocks, board fit and updates for parents in Ras Al Khaimah.

A Year 11 IGCSE revision calendar
Year 11 moves quickly. Splitting it into three phases helps your child reach the summer exams with every topic covered and practised under time pressure.
Finish teaching the syllabus and start topic tests. Before mocks, the tutor sets short timed sections so your child gets used to writing under pressure.
Whenever school mocks fall, the tutor goes through each paper afterwards, lists lost marks by topic and reshapes the plan for the weeks ahead.
Full past papers, timed and marked against mark schemes. Exam season covers late April, all of May and early June. Grades are published from mid to late August.
Questions RAK parents ask about IGCSE revision
Answers on mocks, revision timing, cost and lessons for Year 11 families in Ras Al Khaimah.
When should RAK students start Year 11 revision?
Ideally at the start of Year 11, or the summer before. That leaves room to repair weak topics ahead of mocks and switch to full papers in spring.
Can a tutor help after poor mock results?
Yes. The tutor goes through the mock paper, lists the topics that lost marks and builds weekly lessons around them. Monthly reports then show whether those topics improve.
What will RAK IGCSE tutoring cost us?
Rates start at AED 50 per hour and vary by subject and tutor. Trial lessons cost AED 20 to 60. There is no lock-in, and you can pay per lesson.
Can my child resit in November?
Yes, for Cambridge subjects. Cambridge holds an October/November series, and some students use it for resits. Results follow in January. Your tutor can plan revision for that sitting too.
Do lessons fit around school in RAK?
Yes. Lessons run in UAE time on weekday evenings or at weekends. You set the slots and shift them when mocks or school events clash.
Which boards do your RAK tutors cover?
Every one of our 63 tutors covers Cambridge, and 30 handle Pearson Edexcel as well. Oxford AQA is covered too. We confirm the syllabus code before lesson one.
