What one-to-one Biology lessons with us include
Every lesson is live, one to one and built around your child. Here is what that looks like week to week.
A plan for every paper your child sits
Cambridge students sit three papers at Core or Extended level, and Edexcel students sit two. Your tutor prepares each one in a different way.
Multiple-choice papers
Forty quick questions test recall. Your tutor builds speed with timed sets and shows how to rule out wrong options.
Theory papers
Long answers decide the grade here. Your tutor marks practice answers and shows which words earn each mark.
Practical skills
Your tutor coaches planning, measuring and conclusions, whether your child sits the lab test or the written alternative.
Paper 1, all topics
Your tutor covers all five topic areas, with mixed questions practised under timed conditions.
Paper 2, extra depth
Some sub-topics only appear here. Your tutor teaches them and sets questions in the Paper 2 style.
Answer-writing technique
Your tutor marks practice answers against the mark scheme, so your child learns which key words earn each mark.
Meet the specialists behind the lessons

What parents tell us after lessons
Very pleased with the chemistry, biology & mathematics tutoring my son received… at IGCSE. The instructors were knowledgeable and patient, helping him grasp difficult concepts effectively.
My most recent experience with Mr Ahmed, Head of Department (biology) and Ms Maryam is great. Mr Ahmed provided academic and pastoral care to make sure that my son is prepared to sit for the test.
He really helped boost our daughter’s confidence and truly helped her in preparing for her Science GCSEs. She did tremendously well on her mocks, much better than she was expecting with his assistance.
Tutor, self-study or school revision class?
Many students try self-study with past papers or extra school classes first. This table compares those options with one-to-one tutoring on feedback, focus on weak topics and help with long answers.

What is IGCSE Biology, and how is it graded?
IGCSE Biology is a two-year course for students aged 14 to 16. Cambridge teaches it as syllabus 0610 and Pearson Edexcel as 4BI1. Both cover cells, enzymes, the human body, plants, genetics and ecosystems, and both lead on to A-Level.
According to Cambridge's June 2025 results, 13.8% of IGCSE Biology candidates worldwide got an A*, and 75.2% got a C or above. The top grade usually goes to students who can apply ideas to questions they have never seen before.
Most lost marks come from long answers, not missing facts. Students skip a step, misread a command word like explain or describe, or rush the data questions. Our tutors fix these habits paper by paper, using real past questions from each paper.
Topics in the Cambridge 0610 syllabus, from classification to genetic modification.

IGCSE Biology tutoring: questions parents ask
Short answers on tiers, practical papers, exam boards and cost.
Should my child sit Core or Extended Biology?
Extended students sit Papers 2 and 4 and can reach any grade from A* to G. Core students sit Papers 1 and 3 and can reach C to G. Ask the school, and your tutor can help you decide after a mock.
How can a tutor help with the practical paper?
Papers 5 and 6 test the same skills: planning an experiment, taking readings, drawing graphs and making conclusions. Your tutor practises these with real past questions, so the written method becomes routine.
Do you also teach the Edexcel 4BI1 course?
Yes. Five of our Biology tutors teach Edexcel 4BI1 as well as Cambridge 0610. The Edexcel course has two papers with no tiers, and Paper 2 goes deeper into some topics.
Which Biology topics do students find hardest?
Inheritance, transport in plants and coordination often cause trouble, because answers need clear steps. Your tutor finds your child's weakest topics in the first lessons and plans around them.
Does Biology help if my child wants medicine?
Biology leads on to A-Level Biology, which many medicine and health courses ask for. A strong IGCSE grade gives your child a solid base before they choose A-Level subjects.
How much do Biology lessons cost?
Lessons start from AED 50 an hour, depending on the tutor. The trial lesson costs AED 20 to 60. You can pay per lesson or buy a package, with no lock-in.
Other sciences our tutors teach
Many Biology students also take Chemistry, Physics or Combined Science. Choose a subject to meet its tutors.
