Learning from home in the Garden City

Garden City IGCSE students, capital-level tutors, no drive to Abu Dhabi

From Al Jimi and Al Muwaiji to Al Towayya, Al Khabisi, Hili and Falaj Hazza, students log on from their own desk. No one has to drive to the capital for a specialist.

ADEK regulates British curriculum schools in Al Ain, as it does in Abu Dhabi, and they offer either Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel IGCSE. Science lessons slot into weekday evenings or weekend mornings.

Specialists beyond the capital

Do Al Ain students get the same IGCSE specialists?

According to ADEK, 220 private schools operated across Abu Dhabi emirate in October 2025, Al Ain included. Online lessons reach every corner of the emirate, so your address no longer limits who teaches your child.

Why start with the sciences?

Biology 0610, Chemistry 0620 and Physics 0625 pack in lots of content. They also need sums and long written answers. A science tutor breaks each topic into small steps, then drills the questions where marks slip away.

The same tutor pool as Abu Dhabi city

Our 63 listed tutors all teach on one online platform. A student in Hili picks from the same group as a student in the capital. The checks, recordings and parent reports are the same too.

How are our science tutors chosen?

Under 2 in every 100 applicants make it onto our team. Each one passes an interview on their subject and gives a mock lesson first. Of our tutors, 19 have taught for more than ten years.

Science study plan

An IGCSE science plan across Years 10 and 11

Three separate sciences add up to a lot of content. Spreading it over two years keeps your child calm when the papers start in late April.

Year 10 foundations

Build core ideas early: cells in Biology, moles in Chemistry, forces in Physics. Gaps fixed now take far less time to repair than gaps found in Year 11.

Year 11 autumn

Finish the syllabus and begin timed questions. The tutor ranks weak topics and sets a short batch of past paper questions for each science every week.

Spring to the exams

Switch to full papers under exam timing. Tutors go through mark schemes line by line, so answers use the precise terms that examiners credit.

The qualification explained

How IGCSE science grades work for Al Ain students

Students usually spend Years 10 and 11 on IGCSE, starting around age 14 and finishing at 16. The papers come from three boards: Cambridge (CAIE), Oxford AQA and Pearson Edexcel. Al Ain's British curriculum schools offer Cambridge or Edexcel.

Science students can sit Biology, Chemistry and Physics as separate subjects, or take Cambridge Combined Science 0653 instead. Cambridge papers mostly use A* to G. On Edexcel and Oxford AQA papers, 9 is the top grade and 1 the lowest.

Strong science grades help with entry to A-Level, IB and other post-16 courses. Every lesson uses real mark schemes, which shows your child the exact wording examiners reward.

From enquiry to results

Five steps to an IGCSE science tutor in Al Ain

Setting up takes a few days. Here is the journey, starting with your enquiry and ending with the first monthly report on your child.

Start with a trial lesson
Day 1 · Your message

Share the subject and the sticking points

Fill out the form, or send a quick WhatsApp. Name the school year, board and the topics that cause trouble, such as moles in Chemistry or electricity in Physics.

Within 24 hours

A science specialist is chosen

Our team picks someone already teaching that syllabus, say Chemistry 0620 from Cambridge or 4PH1 Physics from Edexcel, and agrees lesson times in UAE time.

Trial session

A first live lesson with the tutor

The trial lesson is priced at AED 20 to 60. If the match feels wrong afterwards, we find your child another tutor at no charge.

Each week

Steady one-to-one practice

Lessons mix short explanations with exam questions from past papers, marked against the mark scheme. Your child gets homework, notes and flashcards, and can rewatch every recording.

Each month

Reports that show real progress

You receive tutor notes every week and a full report each month. Alerts tell you about missed classes or homework. Pay per lesson, with no lock-in.

Common questions from Al Ain IGCSE parents

Answers on science support, fees, timings and tutor quality for families in the Garden City.

Can one tutor cover all three sciences?

We match by subject, because our tutors stick to the subjects they specialise in. Your child may have a Chemistry specialist and a separate Physics specialist, each focused on that syllabus.

Combined Science or separate sciences: which do you teach?

Both. Your child's school usually decides the route. Our tutors teach Cambridge Combined Science 0653 as well as separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics, so lessons match whichever papers your child sits.

What do Al Ain IGCSE lessons cost per hour?

Hourly rates begin at AED 50 and vary with the tutor and the subject. The trial is priced between AED 20 and 60. We accept cards and Apple Pay, whether you book single lessons or a bundle of them.

Will my child get capital-level tutors from Al Ain?

Yes. Every family books from the same 63 listed tutors, wherever they live in the UAE. Cambridge IGCSE is taught by all of them, and 30 cover Pearson Edexcel as well.

How do science lessons work on a whiteboard?

Tutors draw diagrams, balance equations and work through calculations on a shared whiteboard. Your child writes answers too, so the tutor sees each step and corrects mistakes on the spot.

What times suit Al Ain school days?

You pick the slots. Weekday evenings after homework and weekend mornings both work well. Times can shift for school trips, tests or exam weeks.
