IGCSE Business Studies Tutors turning theory into marks,
with live one-to-one lessons.
Your child knows the theory but drops marks on evaluation and break-even sums? A specialist tutor fixes both, one to one and live online, and keeps you posted. Trial lessons cost AED 20 to 60.

Reviewed by Aravinthan Bhascaran, ACCA qualified accountant teaching Cambridge 0450 and Edexcel 4BS1, 18 years in senior business roles
Checked against the Cambridge 0450 and 0264 syllabuses and the Edexcel 4BS1 specification, Issue 2.
IGCSE Business Studies: what it covers and what changes
IGCSE Business Studies teaches students aged 14 to 16 how firms are set up, staffed, financed and marketed. Cambridge examines it as 0450 until November 2026, then as IGCSE Business, code 0264, from 2027. Pearson Edexcel offers International GCSE Business, 4BS1.
According to figures Cambridge published for the June 2025 series, 9.8% of entries for IGCSE Business Studies were awarded an A*, while 71.0% achieved grade C or higher. All Cambridge students take the same two untiered papers, graded A* to G.
Most students know the key terms. Marks slip when answers stay general instead of using the case, when analysis stops after one step, or when a recommendation has no justification. Calculation slips cost marks too. One-to-one practice fixes each habit.
Marks across the two Cambridge papers, each lasting 1 hour 30 minutes.
A* share for Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies entries in the June 2025 series.
Of Cambridge 0264 marks reward evaluation: justified decisions and recommendations.
How our tutors lift case study and calculation marks
Lessons are live, one to one and shaped around the marks your child is losing right now. Here is what each week includes.
What families say after working with our tutors
The teachers have been very nice and respectful with the way of teaching the content, making it easier to understand and remember. I also appreciate the advice and suggestions given by the teachers to improve on and the feedback.
The tutors are very patient and good at breaking down hard topics by using real-life examples, which helps you actually understand the material.
…They are really helpful and understanding proving past papers and notes that makes everything smoother.
Six topic areas, taught around your child's gaps
Your tutor works through all six Cambridge topic areas, opening with whichever ones lose your child the most marks. Edexcel 4BS1 students cover its five sections in the same way.

Weighing a tutor against guides and group classes
Plenty of families try a revision guide or an online group class first. Here we set both beside private lessons on case study feedback, checked calculations and time given to your child's own gaps.

Two papers per board, each prepared differently
Cambridge and Edexcel students both sit two papers of 1 hour 30 minutes and 80 marks each. Your tutor prepares each paper in its own way.
Short answer and data response
Four compulsory questions built on stimulus material such as tables and graphs. Your tutor drills definitions, quick calculations and shorter explain questions under timed conditions.
Case study
Four questions sit on one case study insert with appendices. Lessons train your child to quote the case, weigh options and back a final decision.
Paper 1, small businesses
Scenarios feature a firm with up to 49 employees and a local or national market. Your tutor practises the mix of multiple-choice, short and open questions.
Paper 2, large businesses
Questions centre on a firm with more than 250 employees and a global market. Your tutor shows how to link each answer to the size and reach of that firm.
Business calculations
Break-even, cash flow forecasts, profit margins and liquidity ratios appear on both boards. Your tutor checks every line of working and what each answer shows.
Analysis and evaluation
Your tutor teaches a clear chain of reasoning, then a judgement that depends on the case. That habit strengthens the longest answers on every paper.

IGCSE Business Studies tutoring: your questions answered
Quick answers on the new Cambridge code, formulas, evaluation, Edexcel and fees.
What changes when 0450 becomes 0264?
From 2027, Cambridge renames the course IGCSE Business, code 0264. Both papers stay at 1 hour 30 minutes and 80 marks. The content is updated, with new topics on technology and sustainable production, plus a published formula list.
How do tutors improve evaluation marks?
Evaluation means making a justified decision from the evidence. Your tutor shows your child how to weigh two options, use figures from the case and finish with a clear recommendation, then scores each attempt using the official marking points.
Which formulas does my child need to know?
The Cambridge 0264 syllabus lists them, including break-even output, margin of safety, profit margin, return on capital employed, current ratio and acid test ratio. Your tutor practises each one and how to interpret the result.
Do you teach Edexcel 4BS1 Business too?
Yes. One of our listed Business tutors teaches 4BS1 alongside Cambridge. Both 4BS1 papers last 1 hour 30 minutes, carry 80 marks and are graded 9 to 1. Pearson plans the last 4BS1 exams for November 2028.
Does my child need prior business knowledge?
No. Cambridge does not expect students to have studied business before. Many start from zero, so your tutor builds the key terms first, then moves on to applying them to real firms.
What will Business tutoring cost us?
Hourly rates begin at AED 50 and vary by tutor. Your trial is priced between AED 20 and 60. Afterwards, pay lesson by lesson or choose a package, and neither option locks you in.
Subjects that sit well alongside Business
Commerce subjects pair naturally with Economics and Maths, while Sociology suits keen essay writers. Pick one below to browse its specialists.
Ready to sharpen your child's Business answers?
Send us the board and exam year, and we pair your child with a Business specialist inside 24 hours. That first trial lesson costs AED 20 to 60.
