IGCSE Physics Tutors from motion to space physics,
with every equation explained.
In live one-to-one lessons with a Physics specialist for Core, Extended or Edexcel, your child masters the equations, units and working that examiners reward. Trial lessons cost AED 20 to 60.

Papers, equations and topics checked against Cambridge 0625 for 2026 to 2028 and Edexcel 4PH1.
How we turn Physics confusion into exam marks
Physics rewards clear thinking and careful working. All our lessons are live, private and built for one student, and each feature below targets a place where marks drop.
What does IGCSE Physics cover, and who sits it?
Cambridge built IGCSE Physics for 14 to 16 year olds and offers it as syllabus 0625, graded A* to G. Pearson Edexcel offers it as 4PH1, graded 9 to 1. Both cover forces, electricity, waves, energy and space, leading on to A-Level.
According to Cambridge's published results for June 2025, 21.6% of Physics candidates worldwide gained an A*, and 81.1% gained a C or better. Top grades tend to go to students who stay calm on unfamiliar problems and set out multi-step calculations clearly.
Physics marks often slip away in the working. Students forget a unit, round too early, or skip the equation they used. Others lose easy marks by misreading graphs. One-to-one lessons catch these habits early and replace them with a steady routine.
Main topic areas in the 0625 syllabus, including thermal, nuclear and space physics.

From measurement to the Universe, unit by unit
Your tutor covers the 0625 syllabus unit by unit, beginning wherever your child is weakest. Edexcel 4PH1 students get the same approach across its eight topics.
One-to-one lessons, video courses or group classes?
Recorded video courses and big online group classes suit some learners. Below, we set them against live one-to-one tutoring on three things: whether working gets checked, whether gaps get attention and how calculations are supported.
| Feature | IGCSE Tutors Your own specialist | Video course Pre-recorded lessons | Group class Online, many students |
|---|---|---|---|
| Working checked line by line | Not usually | ||
| Lessons follow your child's weak topics | Fixed order | Set by the group's pace | |
| Questions answered as they come up | Limited time | ||
| Past paper answers marked to the scheme | Self-marked | Sometimes | |
| Paper 6 practical skills coached | Sometimes covered | Sometimes | |

Lessons you can replay, with notes ready afterwards
Lessons run on a shared digital whiteboard where diagrams and working are drawn live. Our academic team reviews every recording, so teaching stays sharp.
- Recorded lessons for revision
- Flashcards, notes and topic maps after class
- Lessons scored on 20+ measures
A clear view of progress, week by week
Every week the tutor sends you a short update, and every month a fuller progress report arrives. You also get an alert whenever a lesson or homework task is skipped.
- Short weekly notes from the tutor
- A detailed report every month
- Alerts if a class or homework is missed
Starting lessons takes four simple steps
Tell us what is going wrong
Share the board, the paper level and the Physics topics or calculations your child struggles with.
Meet your matched tutor
We choose a Physics specialist who already teaches your child's syllabus, Cambridge 0625 or Edexcel 4PH1.
Try a single lesson
One trial lesson is priced between AED 20 and 60, and there is no obligation to continue afterwards.
Keep going with a plan
Each week the tutor works on the topics that cost marks, using old exam questions. Not happy with the fit? Ask us for a free re-match.
Tutors who know the physics and the papers
We accept fewer than 2 in every 100 tutors who apply. Each one first passes a Physics subject interview, then delivers a mock lesson.

How IGCSE Physics is examined, and how we prepare
Cambridge has three papers per student: multiple choice, theory and practical, set at Core or Extended level. Edexcel has two untiered papers. Lessons target each paper in turn.
40 multiple-choice questions
Each question has four options and just over a minute to answer. Your tutor trains quick estimates and unit checks, so wrong options are spotted fast.
The long theory paper
Short answers, calculations and explanations carry half the grade. Full working is drilled every week, so method marks are banked even when a final answer slips.
Lab test or Paper 6
Paper 5 is a lab test, while Paper 6 tests the same skills in writing. Your tutor rehearses readings, tables, graphs and evaluations with past questions.
Paper 1P, core content
Questions can come from any of the eight topics. Your tutor mixes questions from across the course and times each practice set.
Paper 2P, the full content
Paper 2P tests everything, including the bold P statements that go deeper. Your tutor teaches that extra content and sets matching practice.
Equations and working
Your tutor checks that every answer shows the equation, the substitution and the unit. These steps earn method marks and turn near misses into marks gained.
What students say about their Physics lessons
Mr Subhan teaches physics to a great level of detail and provides help with past paper questions. He is also very patient when I do not understand a specific concept
Amazing tutors, helped me so much with physics and mathematics especially. They always help me in case im unsure on how to answer a past paper question and will go back to previous topics if requested.
The tutors are really good at explaining the topics you dont understand and my grades have really improved and you get to pick your tutors based off little demos so its great!
Questions families ask before booking
Quick answers on equations, tiers, the practical paper and the Edexcel course.
Does my child need to memorise the equations?
Mostly, yes. The 0625 syllabus asks students to recall and use many equations, and Edexcel says its listed formulae are not given in the exam. Your tutor builds an equation list with your child and tests it often.
What if my child is entered for Core?
The Core route, Papers 1 and 3, caps the grade at C. The Extended route, Papers 2 and 4, opens every grade up to A*. Your tutor can teach the Supplement content if your child moves up.
Can online lessons prepare my child for Paper 6?
Yes. Paper 6, Alternative to Practical, is the one-hour option that checks lab skills in writing. Your tutor practises readings, tables, graphs and evaluating methods using past questions, which also helps students who sit the Paper 5 lab test.
How is Edexcel 4PH1 Physics different?
Edexcel students sit two untiered papers, graded 9 to 1, with no separate practical exam. Practical skills are tested inside the written papers. Ten of our Physics tutors teach 4PH1 as well as Cambridge 0625.
Why does my child lose marks on calculations?
Usually the problem is the working, not the physics. Students skip the equation, mix up units such as grams and kilograms, or round too early. Your tutor sets short calculation drills until each step becomes a habit.
Does Physics matter for engineering courses?
IGCSE Physics is the usual route into A-Level Physics, which many engineering degrees ask for. A strong grade, alongside Maths, gives your child a firm base before choosing A-Level subjects.
Subjects that pair well with Physics
Many Physics students pair it with Maths, Further Maths or Chemistry. Pick a chip to see who teaches that subject.
