IGCSE Computer Science Tutors from binary to algorithms,
made clear, line by line.
Your child works live with a tutor who knows their paper, from pseudocode to the practical exam. Lessons target weak topics, and you get weekly notes. Trial lessons cost AED 20 to 60.

Help that goes further than learning to code
Writing code is one skill. Turning it into exam marks is another. These six things shape every lesson your child has with us.
Cambridge 0478 and Edexcel 4CP0 in plain terms
Students usually begin IGCSE Computer Science at 14 and sit the exams two years later. Cambridge calls it syllabus 0478, and Pearson Edexcel calls it 4CP0. Both explain how computers store, send and process data, then ask students to design algorithms.
According to Cambridge's official June 2025 results, 13.4% of IGCSE Computer Science candidates were awarded an A*, and 85.4% reached C or above. No tiers apply: Cambridge students sit two papers, and Edexcel students sit one written and one practical paper.
Many marks slip away in the problem-solving questions. Students know the code but skip a trace table step, misuse pseudocode keywords or leave the scenario task unfinished. Your tutor sets timed past questions and marks them against the official scheme.

The IGCSE Computer Science tutors behind each lesson
Every computing tutor here has passed two tests, a subject interview and then a mock lesson. Fewer than 2 in 100 people who apply make it through.

What families say about our lessons
He has been taking maths, coding, and science classes from them, and the quality of education provided has truly impressed us. … we have seen a significant improvement in his academic performance since he started attending.
Teachers explain very well and they showcase alot of simulations… they also do past papers within class and give the students quizzes so they have practice in answering exam style questions as well.
Very good tutor and company, helped me understand topics I wasn't confident with and reinforced practice on questions based on my specification. The communication between tutors is very responsive, and the lesson scheduling is organised and simple.
Tutor, video course or learning alone?
Lots of students learn to code from video courses or on their own. This table shows how those routes compare with a live tutor on feedback, pseudocode practice and exam timing.
| Feature | IGCSE Tutors Live, one to one | Video course Recorded coding lessons | Learning alone Books and past papers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Code and answers checked by a person | Rarely | ||
| Pseudocode written to exam rules | Often a general language only | Hard to check alone | |
| Plan shaped around weak topics | Same course for everyone | Depends on the student | |
| Timed practice for the scenario task | Sometimes | Possible, with no feedback | |

A record of every lesson, ready when revision starts
Tutor and student share an online whiteboard for code, flowcharts and circuits. Our academic team reviews and scores each recorded lesson, which keeps the teaching sharp.
- Recorded lessons to replay
- Notes, flashcards and topic maps
- Lessons scored on 20+ measures
Know how lessons are going, week by week
A short note from the tutor arrives each week, and a fuller progress report each month. If a lesson or a homework task is missed, we let you know.

How your tutor gets each written and practical paper ready
Cambridge students sit two written papers. Edexcel students sit one written paper and one practical paper on a computer. Your tutor plans for whichever route your child takes.
Computer Systems
Data, hardware, networks and the internet. Your tutor drills short answers and binary working, since no calculator is allowed.
Algorithms, Programming and Logic
Flowcharts, trace tables, SQL and logic gates. Code answers must be in pseudocode, so your tutor trains the exam format line by line.
The 15-mark scenario task
An unseen problem answered in pseudocode, Python, Visual Basic or Java. Your tutor sets timed scenarios and marks them like the examiner.
Principles of Computer Science
A written paper on all six topics. Your tutor mixes recall questions with longer answers on algorithms, data and networks.
Application of Computational Thinking
A practical exam on a computer in Python, C# or Java. Your tutor rehearses full timed tasks, including fixing and extending given code.
Dry runs before typing
Your child learns to trace an algorithm by hand first. This one habit catches logic errors and lifts marks on both boards.
Four steps to your child's first computing lesson
Tell us what feels hard
Share the board, the exam date and the topics, such as pseudocode or logic gates, that worry your child.
Get a matched tutor
Within 24 hours, a tutor who knows 0478 or 4CP0 is paired with your child.
Take a paid trial
One trial lesson, priced at AED 20 to 60, shows you how the tutor teaches before you commit.
Work through a weekly plan
Regular lessons tackle weak topics and past questions. If the tutor is not the right fit, a free re-match is arranged.
Ten Cambridge topics, from binary to Boolean logic
Your tutor covers all ten topics in the 0478 syllabus, starting where your child drops the most marks and leaving time for full past papers.

Quick answers on programming languages, papers, boards and fees.
Can my child answer Paper 2 in Python?
Only in the final 15-mark scenario question, where Cambridge accepts pseudocode, Python, Visual Basic or Java. Everywhere else on Paper 2, code must be written in pseudocode, so your tutor practises both.
Is there a Core and Extended choice?
No. Every Cambridge 0478 student sits the same two papers, and grades run from A* to G. Edexcel 4CP0 has no tiers either and is graded 9 to 1.
What happens in the Edexcel practical paper?
Students spend three hours on a computer, writing and fixing code in Python, C# or Java. A pseudocode reference is provided. Your tutor runs full timed practice so the length feels normal.
Does my child need to code already?
No. Many students start with little coding experience. Your tutor begins with simple programs and builds up to arrays, procedures and file handling at a pace that sticks.
Do your tutors teach Edexcel 4CP0 as well?
Yes. Two of our three listed computing tutors teach Edexcel 4CP0 as well as Cambridge 0478. Tell us the board when you book, and we match accordingly.
What does a computing lesson cost?
Fees begin at AED 50 an hour and vary by tutor. Your first lesson, the trial, costs between AED 20 and 60. Families can pay lesson by lesson or buy a package, and nothing locks them in.
Subjects that pair well with computing
Students who enjoy coding often take Maths, Physics or Economics too. Pick a subject to see who teaches it.
